Another year older

Well i am another year old. It seems that since I had the two masters, I don’t seem to have time to remember my own birthday. Well maybe a few days or so and I will be think to myself....oh yah my birthday is coming soon. I remember when I was younger (well not so young, maybe before I had the kids), I would look forward to my birthday, thinking and planning for a nice occasion....hehe

On the morning of my birthday, I had a full day ahead of me. Piggy was busy with his mountain biking and the kids were making a hell of a noise. I was planning to cook a big breakfast storm for piggy. (Yah I know it’s suppose to be the other way round, but I think he will probably destroy it ...), and I had to be somewhere at 12.15pm. So being a super mum, I was multitasking...from preparing the food, keeping the kids at bay, looking at the clock and stressing at the same time...hahaha... and this is what I made for us ...



Terrible ... there's goes my health..... Greasy, and processed....

After chomping on my yummy irresistible brekkie, it was already 12.10pm... I had to be somewhere at 12.20pm and I haven’t even showered. So off I went upstairs and took my shower.. In the midst of getting ready, I couldn’t decide what to wear.. Yah I know.. that is why we are always late hahaha.. we havent decided what to wear... too many choices, and for me its more like erm.. new clothes, but havent had the time to try it on or had any alteration done.. ( thats when MIL comes in handy hahaha)

So off I went to meet up in my aunt’s place and picked up my yummy birthday cake from my baker cousin, T(http://terricakes.blogspot.com/). I passed the cake to piggy and off i went with my cousin A and her mum. We were heading to Sunway Pyramid for our free make up course by Acut Above Academy. For the next 6 hours we were going to learn how to put on our makeup.

There were about 12 students at the academy and it was quite interesting learning about the art of putting on a makeup. After 1.5 hours of tutorial, we were given the opportunity to put the knowledge to use. Being me, I didn’t really listen to a word they said because they were speaking in Cantonese, so i didn’t pay much attention. I felt like i was at school, kept on asking my cousin A if this is right or am i doing this correctly or what is next. I had a great time, even though it took 6 hours to learn how to put on a makeup, received a bag of freebies, bought a eyeliner gel and eye glue. Yes, you’re probably wondered why did i buy eye glue? Apparently there is a trick to make those people who have single eye lid, droopy eyes or like mine, double eye lid hiding, to make it appear that you have double eye lid. So the next time u noticed something different on my eyes, the 6 hours course actually put to use. Unfortunately my eyes were getting really dry and it was making me really tired.

We were supposed to have a small family dinner, but things came up, and we had to postpone. But I managed to meet up with my other close friends and we had a quick dinner. Almost forgotten, when I got into the car, piggy left a bunch of flowers and a card for me.. so sweet... it was quite rare for me to receive flowers from him, so it was a very unexpected. Master 1 helps in writing the card.

So rushing home, i told piggy that that we have to quickly cut the cake as i wanted to remove all my makeup and my contact lenses. For some reason i felt so extremely tired that all i wanted to do was to go to sleep. So i asked piggy whether we have any leftover candles, but he said he couldnt remember. So another idea came up, i took our tea light candle and placed it on the cake..ta da... an unique candle for me.. haha

So that was the end of my special day. Thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes, gifts and birthday cake. The most important thing is having my family with me and master 1 trying to sing happy birthday, and even on the next day.( well every month he has to sing happy birthday to his buddies at school)

Hair?What hair?

The time has come, after many months of delaying, i have finally found the courage to remove my little darling master 2's baby hair. Yes, master 1 has gone through the stage of baldness, but its so difficult for master 2. He has such a nice soft hair, reddish in colour, reminds me of a mixed blood.Excuses such as, no we cant shave his hair, he need to take a family portrait, photo shoot etc.. but that never came..



My next step is how are we going to shave his hair? Piggy wanted master 2 to have a clean bowling ball look so his hair could grow evenly and coarser. Thinking to take him to barber, i had second thought. He is a figgety boy, and to take him to the barber would be a nightmare for him, and i dont want him to have a bad experience. I know its common for kids to hate having their hair cut, but master 1 seem to be ok with it.His first hair cut was at the age of 8 months, and according to the barber, he has never experience a baby sitting so still. It was a breeze shaving his head using the blade!



I called up one my buddy, and asked her to help me to cut master 2's hair. She has the hair cutter which she uses it on her 2 boys.

When piggy saw master 2's head, he wasnt satisfied, it wasnt bowling ball smooth. Thinking of a way to make it smooth and without the use of a blade, i remembered that piggy has a electric shaver. So here is the result...










Guess what master 1 said when he came home? "mummy,master 2 hair gone?'
Master 1 new saying , "i like a botak head" (translated " i like a bald head")
